In every event of Beyond Mountains, we always strive to help every participant to expose sufficiently with nature. We always create an atmosphere of love, care and provide necessary support to learn, grow and feel responsible towards our mother Earth. It is not only we are held responsible for what we do, but also for what we do not do. Once again Beyond Mountains has got an opportunity to show the true courage of being responsible for what we do.
GiriPremi Institute from Pune is gearing up for India’s biggest civil expedition to Mount Kanchenjunga (8586m) in summer 2019 which is the highest peak in India and third highest peak in the world. “Mount Kanchenjunga Eco Expedition 2019” will be an environment friendly expedition. As a part of expedition, the cleaning movement of the route of the peak and glaciers will be undertaken. Kanchenjunga is surrounded by more than 120 glaciers which is a source of water for over million people. Cleaning and conserving such glaciers are need of an hour. GiriPremi with aim of ‘Clean Mountains, Clean Glaciers’ will be conducting this cleaning movement during the expedition. In addition, Giripremi’s mountaineers have planned to study bio diversity of Kanchenjunga region with the help of Aagharkar Research Institute, Pune by bringing and submitting a fresh soil and plant samples.
We look towards mountaineering as a passion. Mountaineering is the sport where one feels energized and motivated. True mountaineer feels blissful when we are in mountains. Scaling a new height gives a certain sense of achievement. We can easily sense the environmental change of a specific terrain when we trek/visit that place repeatedly. This might be due to pollution, deforestation, global warming and many other human interventional things. With this huge change affecting to the nature, many times, we think what will happen if there are no mountains on this planet? Mountains are the source of many things which helps us live and survive on this planet. There are many known and unknown species in this world which survives with the help of the mountains.
Therefor Beyond Mountains has decided to support this eco expedition by donating amount of “INR 28,169” to GiriPremi institute which is the elevation of Mt. Kanchenjunga (28,169 ft). We are also ready to volunteer for this noble cause which brings man and mountains together. Every true trekker always dreams about climbing the Himalayas. Some mountaineers spend their yearly savings, stay away from their beloved family members for many months and spend their entire energy to achieve and complete their passion of adventure. As a team Beyond Mountains, we are offering this small token of donation to appreciate the courage of these true mountaineers for their entire efforts taken to achieve something different. Because we believe this money is only worth if spend on right cause and the right way. We wish successful summit to entire team of Mt Kanchenjunga eco expedition.
